Cybersecurity for SMBs: the bare minimum you can't ignore

Ciberseguridad

Many SMBs think they're too small to be a target. It's exactly the opposite: attackers automate and go after the weakest link. The good news is that most incidents are prevented with basic, well-applied measures.

The bare minimum

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) on email, banking and critical access. The highest-return measure there is.
  • Automated and tested backups. A backup you've never restored isn't a backup.
  • Up-to-date patching on servers, CMS and plugins. 90% of breaches exploit something already patched.
  • Unique passwords with a manager. Reusing passwords is handing over the keys.

The human factor

Most attacks get in through a person, not a server: a phishing email, a fake link. Training your team to recognise them is worth as much as any firewall.

From reaction to prevention

An audit identifies your weak points before someone exploits them. At Enigma we review your infrastructure, fix what's urgent and leave you a continuous protection plan for your website, your servers and your customers' data.
